Choosing a Physical Healthy Life

I had been over weight pretty much my entire adult life, I suffer from depression and chose to eat my feelings, I would binge eat as much as possible. I went through a particularly rough time at the beginning of 2018, I felt like there was no turning back for me, so I dove head first into chic-fil-a and any comfort food I could find. I gained about 20 pounds in a matter of 2-3 months. It was coming to the end of May and I had a big trip coming up with my siblings to Europe, my first big trip overseas. I looked at myself in the mirror one day and realized that I did not like the person I was looking at, and no amount of make-up, bleach or pretty clothes was going to fix that. So I decided right then and there that I was going to make a real change, not a diet, not a workout routine. I made a life changing decision, on June 1, 2018, I stopped eating meat, in 2 months I dropped about 30 pounds. Walked 3 miles a day and started to live a healthier life. Today, 10 months later I am about 50 pounds smaller than I was this time last year, and about 100% happier with myself. It wasn’t just the weight loss that brought on the happy, it was that for once in my life I was doing something good for myself, and it was for myself not for someone else.
